The Southwest Veterinary Referral Center (SVRC) is an alliance of veterinary specialists that have joined together to establish a referral hospital that focuses on providing veterinary care for complicated or extensive medical conditions of companion animals. Each specialty practice in our facility is highly esteemed in the veterinary community and offers advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Many of the practice owners are nationally recognized leaders in their fields. The specialists hold positions of leadership in numerous specialty colleges and organizations, lecture throughout the world, publish textbook chapters and other refereed articles, and conduct clinical trials that further the knowledge of the veterinary profession.

Some of the specialized medical and surgical services offered to pets include total hip replacements, neurosurgery, orthopedics and fracture repair, joint arthroscopy, chemotherapy, cancer immunotherapy, pain management consultations, preanesthetic evaluations by our board-certified anesthesiologist, anesthetic management of high risk and critical care patients, digital radiography, and allergy testing and immunotherapy.

We are an extension of veterinary practices throughout the communities we serve, working in conjunction with referring veterinarians to provide comprehensive patient care and exceptional client service. The specialists at our hospital do not offer routine veterinary care, such as immunizations, well-examinations, and other preventative veterinary care. The SVRC healthcare team will maintain open communication with your primary care veterinarian, updating your veterinarian with your pet's diagnosis and treatment progress. To ensure complete patient care, patients are sent back to their primary care veterinarian for appropriate follow-up treatment and all other veterinary services. This continuity between specialist and primary care veterinarian ensures the best possible outcome for your pet.
